This new search feature is reversed: instead of step by step queries with numerous clicks (on that kind of object, in such a field, following this list, ...), « Easy Search » suggests straight away a result on all the items managed in Lascom PLM (articles, documents, technical events, engineering changes, projects, ...).
Easy Search is a unique and instant access to all the data in the repository via a simple text box in the upper right corner of the Lascom PLM interface. The operating mode of Easy Search is built on Internet search tools (Google, Yahoo, ...): users find themselves in a familiar environment using a simple interface. For example a user who does a search on « electrical system » will see as results: - All the documents for which ««electrical system» appears in its descriptive card
- All the items with an associated file containing ««electrical system»
- All the articles, technical event, EC, etc... in which appears ««electrical system»
The 2 mains assets of Lascom PLM Easy Search are: - The first tool of search in all the data in the repository, easy to take in hand without neither training nor knowledge of data model, which will help extending the use of Lascom PLM to every department of your company.
- A tool that will improve the use of repository data thanks to the reporting features on executed searches (enrich the most consulted documents, identify unsuccessful searches, ...)
Results can be classified by categories then sorted out. Once again, Lascom PLM changes radically the HMI by suggesting an intuitive, fast and exhaustive search
Lascom PLM is the new corporate name of Advitium since 23rd of June, 2009.
